(1) In times of war and in case of connivance with the enemy, individual regional councillors may, for reasons of public order or general interest, be suspended by decree of the President of the Republic until cessation of hostilities.
The members of the Regional Council thus suspended may not be numerically replaced during the remainder of the term of office of the said council.
(2) However, where such measure reduces the number of council members by at least half, the same decree shall set up a special delegation empowered to replace the Regional Council.
