(1) The Regional Council shall have the following four committees, each headed by a committee member:
– Committee on Administrative and Legal Affairs, and Standing Orders;
– Committee on Education, Health, Population, Social and Cultural Affairs, Youth and Sports;
– Committee on Finance, Infrastructure, Planning and Economic Development;
– Committee on Environment, Regional Development, State Property, Town Planning and Housing.
(2) Notwithstanding the provisions of Sub-section 1 above, the Regional Council may:
- set up or dissolve any other committee by deliberation, at the request of its
President or 2/3 (two-thirds) of its members;
- invite any person in an advisory capacity, on account of their competence on a
session agenda item or on the agenda of the committee meeting;
- set up or dissolve any ad hoc committee.
