The non-possessory pledge shall cease to exist regardless of the secured debt, where the
collateral is voluntarily returned to the settlor, or where the collateral through the fault of pledgee-
creditor is lost, or where the competent court orders its restitution for a fault committed by the
pledgee-creditor, unless a sequestrator is appointed to act as a third party agreed upon by the
parties.
