SECTION 7

(1) No one shall be a member of a trade union unless he is in fact gainfully employed at the time of his joining it. (2) However, a person who has ceased to be gainfully occupied may continue to be a member of his trade union, provided : • 1. he has carried on his occupation for at least (6) six months, and • 2. he is engaged in union activity or is appointed by virtue of his occupation to a post for which provision is made by laws and regulations.
