(1) The Regional Council President appointed to a position incompatible with his office shall be bound to make an option statement within 30
(thirty) days from the date of his appointment. After this period, he shall be requested
by the Minister in charge of local authorities to give up one of his duties.
(2) In case of refusal to make an option statement or after 15 (fifteen) days,
the Regional Council President shall be declared as having resigned, by decree of
the President of the Republic, on the recommendation of the Minister in charge of
regional and local authorities.
