The President of the section may, at any time, by an order made at the request of the Procureur General or of the appellant, reduce to half the time-limit provided for in sections 488 (1),494, 495 (2), and 496.
The decision of reduction of the time-limit shall be notified to the parties by the Registrar-in-
Chief of the Supreme Court.
