SECTION 37

(1) The Joint Committee shall submit its report to the two Presidents of the two Houses within a maximum period of 72 (seventy-two) hours from the date of its establishment. (2) It shall be dissolved automatically after submission of its report. (3) The President of the National Assembly shall forward the Joint Committee report to the President of the Republic within 24 (twenty-four) hours after receiving it. (4) The President of the Republic shall submit the text prepared by the Joint Committee to the two Houses for approval. No amendment shall be admissible, except with the consent of the President of the Republic. (5) Where the Joint Committee fails to adopt the common text, or where the text is not adopted by either of the Houses, the President of the Republic may either: - request the National Assembly to rule finally; or 18 - declare the Government or Private Members' bill null and void.
