SECTION 106

(1) Council union organs shall be: - the council union board; - the council union chairperson. (2) The union board provided for in sub-section (1) above shall comprise mayors, each assisted by 2 (two) councillors designated in each member council. (3) It shall be headed by a chairperson elected from among the members of the union board for a one-year renewable term. (4) The term of office of members of the union board shall be governed by the legal system of the municipal council to which they belong. In the event of a vacancy or resignation, members shall be replaced in accordance with the rules applicable to sub-divisional council representatives on the city council board.
