A legal entity may be appointed director. At its appointment, it must appoint a permanent
representative by sending a hand-delivered letter against a receipt or by any means leaving a
written record addressed to the cooperative for the duration of its mandate. Although this
permanent representative is not a director in the cooperative, he shall be subject to the same
conditions and obligations and shall incur the same civil and criminal liability as if he was a
director in his own name, without prejudice to the joint liability of the legal entity that he
represents.
