SECTION 303 — Blackmail

(1) Whoever threatens another with a defamatory imputation or with any revelation in case of his failure to comply with any order or condition shall be punished with imprisonment for from one to 5 (five) years and with fine of from CFAF 200 000 (two hundred thousand) to CFAF 2 000 000 (two million). (2) The penalty shall be doubled for imputation of a felony. (3) The Court may in addition impose the forfeitures described in Section 30 of this Code.
