SECTION 308 — Extortion of Disposition or Signature

(1) Whoever by force, coercion or fraud extorts the signature or the delivery of any document having the effect of an obligation, discharge or disposition, or otherwise liable to harm the signatory in his person or in his substance, shall be punished with imprisonment for from 5 (five) to 10 (ten) years and with fine of from CFAF 10 000 (ten thousand) to CFAF 500 000 (five hundred thousand). (2) Whoever procures by the like means the delivery of a signed blank paper and fills it up with any obligation, discharge or disposition shall be punished in like manner.
