cedures concerning the offences referred to
in Section 8 above:
(a) preliminary investigations shall be
conducted under the control and supervision
of the State Prosecutor;
(b) criminal investigation officers may
conduct house searches, home visits and sei-
zures only in accordance with the Criminal
Procedure Code. However, in case of
urgency, risk of disappearance of material
evidence, or threats to cause bodily harm or
death to third parties or criminal investiga-
tion officers, the latter may at any time
conduct house searches, home visits and sei-
zures by order of the State Prosecutor,
through any means leaving a paper trail;
(c) the duration of remand in custody shall be
48 (forty-eight) hours, renewable once;
