SECTION 265 — Obscene Publications

Whoever a) with a view of trade, manufactures, keeps, imports, transports or exports; or b) whether or not for gain and whether or not publicly, exhibits or distributes – any writing, picture or object liable to corrupt morals, shall be punished with imprisonment for from 1 (one) month to 2 (two) years and with fine of from CFAF (ten thousand) to ½ (half a million). (2) On conviction, the Court may order closure for up to one year of the establishment where the offender manufactures or keeps any such writing, picture or object.
