SECTION 80

(1) Statutory hours of work in all public and private non-agricultural establishments may not exceed forty hours per week. (2) In all agricultural and allied undertakings, the hours of work shall be based on a total of two thousand four hundred hours per year, within the maximum limits of forty-eight hours per week. (3) The above provisions shall apply to all workers, irrespective of age and sex and irrespective of the mode of payment. (4) Decrees issued after consultation with the National Labour Advisory Board shall determine the circumstances under which exemptions from compliance with the statutory hours of work are authorized, as well as the conditions governing the performance and remuneration of overtime giving rise to extra pay.
