SECTION 126

(1) Local elected officials shall be entitled to training adapted to their office. (2) Within 3 (three) months from its election, the deliberative organ of the local authority shall adopt a training plan for local elected officials. The plan shall lay down the guidelines, priorities and appropriations opened in this respect. (3) The summary table of training activities for local elected officials financed by the council or région shall be attached to the administrative account. (4) Training shall be mandatorily organized within the first 6 (six) months of the term of office for members of the executive and chairpersons of the committees of the deliberative organ. (5) An employee local elected official placed on training by his local authority must submit a written request to his employer at least 10 (ten) days prior to the start of the training.
