Sale by auction may be carried out without the assistance of a lawyer.
Where no bid attains the amount of the reserve price, the notary shall record the highest bid and
may award the property provisionally for the amount of the bid. The Judge Administrator who
fixed the reserve price, to whom the matter is referred at the request of the notary or any
interested party, may either declare the award final and the sale complete or order that the
property be put for a new auction according to one of the forms provided for in Article 150
above. Where he orders a new auction, he shall fix the time for it, fix the reserve price and the
terms and conditions of publication; the time limit for such new sale shall not be less than fifteen
days.
