SECTION 83

The qualified electronic signature shall be applied to a document and shall allowidentification of the signer and the manifestation ofhis consent to obligations arising from the act. It shall have the following characteristics: - it is linked only to the signer; - it allows proper identification of the signer; - it is created in a way that thesigner may be the sole person to have its exclusive control; - It is linked to the document to which it relates so that any subsequent amendment to the document is noticeable. The qualified electronic signature consists of the following technical components: - a software for signature creation and a software for signature verification; - An electronic certificate, authenticating the signer, produced by a provider of electronic certification services. The Technical Committee for the Standardization of Electronic Procedures provided for in article 81 ofthis uniformAct shall determinethecriteriaforaproviderof electronic certification services.
