In the absence of any specific provision in a contract, the scope of the authority of the
intermediary shall be determined by the type of business it relates to.
The authority shall include in particular the power to carry out legal acts required for its
performance.
However, the intermediary shall not, without a special power of attorney, institute legal
proceedings, enter into a compromise and settlements agreement, accept arbitration , subscribe
to the exchange of commitments, transfer or encumber any real property, or make any donation.
