SECTION 81 — Threats

(1) No criminal responsibility shall arise from submission to threats, not otherwise avoidable, of imminent death or of grievous harm as defined by this Code. Provided that where the act committed is defined as an offence punishable with death or has resulted in death or in grievous harm, the responsibility of the person committing the act shall be merely diminished. (2) This Section shall not apply to a person who has voluntarily exposed himself to the risk of such threats.
