SECTION 43 — Insane Persons

In French Malade mental

(1) Upon acquittal for insanity on a charge of felony or misdemeanour punishable with 2 (two) years imprisonment or more and where the liberty of the accused shall have been found by the court to be a public danger, the court shall order his confinement in a special institution. (2) Such confinement may be terminated only by the same court upon evidence by the competent medical authority that the liberty of the confined person is no longer a public danger.
