Law n°2014/016 of 18 July 2014 laying down the Standing Orders of the National Assembly › Chapter 10

SECTION 52

The President of the National Assembly may only take the floor in a debate to sum up the issue and limit the debate to the point under discussion. Where he desires to participate in the debate, he shall yield the chair to one of the Vice-Presidents, in order of precedence. He may resume the chair only after debate on the point has been exhausted.
