SECTION 70

(1) Electoral registers shall be drawn up and kept in every Council. An electoral register shall also be drawn up for each polling station. (2) The electoral registers shall be drawn up in alphabetical order. (3) Every newly registered elector shall be issued a receipt bearing the date, place and registration number. (4) The receipt referred to in subsection (3) above shall be used only for lodging complaints relating to voter registration operations and may not, for any reason whatsoever, be used in place of the voter card. (5) The register shall contain the full name, date and place of birth, occupation, residence or place of abode of every elector.
