SECTION 591

Any Magistrate of the bench or a Judge may be challenged for any of the following reasons: (a) where he or his spouse is a relative, guardian or relative by marriage up to the degree of uncle, nephew, first cousin or the child of the first cousin of one of the parties; (b) where he or his spouse is employer, employee, next of kin, donnee, creditor, debtor, companion of one of the parties, or director of an enterprise or company involved in the case; (c) where he has previously taken part il1 the proceedings or if he has been an arbitrator or counsel or witness; (d) where he or his spouse is a party in a case which shall be tried by one of the parties; (e) where he or his spouse is involved in any incident tending to show friendship or hatred toward any of the parties and likely to cast a doubt on his impartiality.
