SECTION 555

(1) Persons convicted and sentenced to a term of imprisonment shall be placed in various categories of prisons. (2) The conditions of the execution of prison sentences shall be defined by a special enactment in such a manner as to reconcile the requirement of discipline with the needs of social rehabilitation of the convict. They shall take into account the nature of the offence, the length of the term to be served, the sex, the age, the mental and physical health and the behaviour of the convict.
