SECTION 49

(1) Where it is not established that the person summoned has received the registered letter addressed to him by the bailiff in accordance with the provisions of section 47 or where the summons was served on the Legal Department or the mayor's office, a judicial police officer may be requested by the Legal Department 10 undertake another search with a view 10 effectively notifying the person concerned. (2) In all cases, the judicial police officer shall draw up a report of the action he has taken and forward it without delay to the Legal Department. (3) Where a judicial police officer has effectively served the summons on the person cited therein, this shall be deemed personal service.
