SECTION 306

(1) The use of any recording or sound-broadcasting instrument camera, television or cinematographic equipment shall be prohibited in court and shall be punishable under section 198 (2) of the Penal Code, and where necessary, the said appliance shall be confiscated as provided for section 35 of the Penal Code. (2) Notwithstanding the provisions of sub-section 1 above, the Presiding Magistrate may by a reasoned decision, authorize the installation of a sound system in the court room and the use of recording instruments or loudspeakers to enable a wider audience to follow the proceedings.
