SECTION 157

(1) Any person who alleges that he has suffered injury resulting from a felony, or misdemeanour may when lodging a, complaint with the competent Examining Magistrate, file a claim for damages. (2) The complaint in which a victim claims damages shall set the criminal action in motion. (3) The provisions of sub section (1) shall not be applicable either to simple offences or to offences, the prosecution of which is solely reserved for the Legal Department.
