Except otherwise provided by national law, registration shall have a fixed duration and shall
maintain the right of the creditor up to a date to be fixed by agreement or by court order within
the limit of thirty years from the date of this formality. It shall cease to have effect where it is
not renewed for a fixed duration before the expiration of this time limit.
The same shall apply where the mortgage is constituted for an undetermined duration.
