SECTION 229 — The surety may at any lime withdraw his recognizance

In French Le garant peut, à tout moment, retirer sa caution

In such a case, he shall be required to produce the person on bail before the competent authority who shall take note of the withdrawal and shall inform he person that he may remain on bail if the provides another surety or security.
