(1) Where the chairperson of a tenders board or of a central contracts
control board is unavailable for part of the tenders board session, he shall designate a
board member to chair deliberations.
(2) Where the chairperson of a tenders board or of a central contracts control board
is absent for a period not exceeding 30 (thirty) calendar days, he shall designate a board
member to chair deliberations and inform the Authority in charge of public contracts for
approval.

(3) A copy of the delegation instrument shall be forwarded to the Project Owner or
the Delegated Project Owner, to the Regional Governor or the Sub-Divisional Officer, as
appropriate.
(4) Where the chairperson of a tenders board or of a central contracts control
board is absent for a period of more than 30 (thirty) calendar days, he shall inform the
authority in charge of public contracts who shall appoint an acting chairperson.
(5) The ad hoc or acting chairperson shall enjoy the full powers provided for by the
instruments in force.
