(1) Under the authority of a Sub-Director, the Sub-Department for
Civil, Commercial, Labour and Traditional Legislation shall be responsible for:
- drafting and updating bills and statutory instruments in civil, commercial,
labour and traditional matters;
- collecting and exploiting international conventions, Community Law
instruments, as well as ensuring their integration into national laws;
- collecting and exploiting jurisprudence in civil, commercial, labour and
traditional matters;
- studying bills or statutory instruments in civil, commercial, labour and
traditional matters drafted by other Ministries or Organizations and
Institutions that are submitted to the Ministry’s opinion;
- verifying the legal conformity of the Ministry’s commitments.
(2) In addition to the Sub-Director, the Sub-Department for Civil, Commercial,
Labour and Traditional Legislation shall comprise three (3) Assistant
Research Officers.
