Even ex officio, the court hearing the case on nullity may set a time limit to carry out the nullity
operation. The court cannot pronounce the nullity less than two months after the date of the
introduction of the document instituting the proceedings.
If no decision is taken at the expiry of the period prescribed in the preceding paragraph, the
court shall act at the request of the earliest petitioner.
