The conventional mortgage shall be made for a fixed sum or a sum at least ascertainable in
principal and brought to the knowledge of third parties by registration of the deed. The debtor
shall where necessary have a right later to ask for a reduction of this sum in compliance with
the landed property publicity rules provided to this effect.
