SECTION 19

The purpose of the Trade and Personal Property Rights Register shall be: 1°) for the registration of a) natural persons who within the meaning of this Uniform Act have the status of trader; b) commercial companies and other corporate persons subject to registration, as well as branches of foreign companies operating on the territory of a State Party. The Registry shall also have entries and information on changes in the status and legal capacity of natural and corporate persons that have occurred since their registration. It shall also record documents which by the provisions of this Uniform Act and by those of the Uniform Act relating to commercial companies and economic interest groups must be filed. 2°) for registering entries relating to: a) the pledge of shares; b) the pledge of a business and the lien of the vendor of business; c) the pledge of professional equipment and motor vehicles; d) the pledge of stocks; e) the preferential rights of the Treasury, the Customs Department and of the Social Security Institutions; f) ownership reserve clauses; and g) leasehold contracts.
