The provisions of this Book shall govern not only the conclusion of contracts by the commercial
intermediary but also any act done by the commercial intermediary with a view to concluding
contracts or relating to the performance of the said contracts.
These provisions shall apply to the relationship between the principal, the commercial
intermediary and the third party.
They shall apply whether the intermediary acts in his own name, as in the case of a commission
agent or broker, or in the name of the principal, as in the case of a commercial agent.
