SECTION 15

1- Unless provided otherwise on the consignment note, the charges shown to be due on the consignment note are payable by the Principal before delivery. 2- If the goods are not of the same kind as that described in the contract or if the value of the goods is higher than the declared value, the carrier shall be entitled to claim payment of the price he could otherwise have requested for such carriage. 3- In accordance with paragraph 3 of Article 13 above, the carrier shall be entitled to retain the carried goods until payment of the charges shown to be due on the consignment note. If the consignment note shows those charges are due by the consignee, the carrier who fails to claim payment thereof before delivery loses his right to claim payment from the Principal. Should the consignee refuse to pay, the carrier shall inform the Principal thereof and ask him for instructions. 4- The carrier shall have a lien on the goods carried in relation to any sum payable to him, provided there is a causal link between the goods carried and the sums due.
