Law relating to the electoral code › Title 4 › Chapter 4

SECTION 135

(1) In the event of cancellation of the elections, notification thereof shall forthwith be made to the Minister of Territorial Administration and Elections Cameroon. (2) Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 86 of this law, a new election shall be held within no less than 20 (twenty) days and no more than 40 (forty) days of the date of cancellation. (3) The incumbent President of the Republic shall remain in office up to the election and swearing-in of the President-elect, and shall convene the electorate within the time-limit provided for in Sub-section (2) above.
