SECTION 128

(1) The Legal Department shall be a principal party in a criminal trial before the court and shall always be represented at such trials under pain of rendering the entire proceeding and the decision null and void. (2) Subject to the powers of the Presiding Magistrate to maintain order in court, the Legal Department may intervene at any stage of the trial. (3) The Legal Department shall, at the close of the hearing in every case, address the court or tender written submissions without being denied the right of hearing or stopped when addressing the court.
